Theology Teacher

Cardinal Gibbons High School is a private Catholic High School in Raleigh, NC. We are a college preparatory school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh. We embrace the mission of Jesus Christ: to form men and women of faith, service, and leadership in church and community. We are seeking applicants for a full-time Theology teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a variety of student learning needs.
• Develop and implement assessment methods to monitor and evaluate student progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment which encourages active learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary teaching strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Stay current with educational trends and integrate innovative teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• Relevant background and experience teaching Theology in a secondary school (9-12 grade).  
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Theological Studies preferred.
• Basic Catechist certification is required
• Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. 
• Demonstrate a genuine love for the Catholic faith and a desire to share it with others. 
• Exhibit strong moral character and integrity. 
• Proficient with new technology and a willingness to integrate technology into classroom lessons.
• Possess the ability to contribute to other facets of school life beyond the classroom.
• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with the other members of the Theology department and the whole school in academics, extra-curricular activities, and in furthering the mission of our school.
