This commemorative Mass will mark the centennial of the Diocese of Raleigh and celebrate the ideas of servant leadership and life-giving love, which have been present throughout our 100-year history. Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama will celebrate the Mass, with His Eminence Wilton Cardinal Gregory offering the homily.
For our ticketed guests who will be attending the Mass, please note the following schedule:
8:30 a.m. – Doors Open at Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral. You MUST have your QR code either available on your phone or printed. The QR codes will be scanned by the ushers at each door.
9:45 a.m. – Please be seated no later than 9:45 a.m.
10:00 a.m. – Brief history of the Diocese of Raleigh read by students from each of the Catholic High Schools in our Diocese
10:15 a.m. – Procession begins
At the end of the Mass, please remain in your seats until the end of the recessional hymn.
Tickets will be made available to the parishes after Labor Day. Please see your pastor if you are interested in attending.
The Mass will also be livestreamed from the Diocesan YouTube channel.
Attendees: Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., but please be in your seat by 9:45 a.m. The Mass will end at approximately 12:30 p.m.
