Upon the recent, sudden death of Bishop David O’Connell, I ask all of the faithful in the Diocese of Raleigh to join with me in offering condolences and prayers to Archbishop José Gomez, all under his care in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and especially to Bishop Dave’s family and all who mourn his death.
May he know the peace of the Kingdom and the fullness of joy in the heavenly liturgy this day.
