Position Summary:

St. Egbert Catholic School is seeking a full-time Elementary Grades Teacher. The elementary teacher will perform professional responsibilities including but not limited to planning lessons and preparing instructional materials. This educator will work collaboratively with colleagues and seek professional growth; cultivate trust and partnerships with families; inspire students to be positive leaders, critical thinkers, and creative problem solvers. The elementary teacher will carry out duties as assigned by the principal in a professional manner, including but not limited to:

Key responsibilities: 

  • Accept the mission of the school as articulated at the diocesan and school level.
  • Implement the educational mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the school.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Diocese of Raleigh Standards for Instruction
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to enhance academic performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student development
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences
  • Implement early intervention strategies for students who require additional support
  • Incorporate literacy education into daily lessons
  • Follow all policies of the Diocese of Raleigh and St. Egbert Catholic School
  • Demonstrate professionalism

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education
  • 3 years of related work experience relating to teaching in elementary school.
  • NC K-6 certification or comparable out-of-state licensure.
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practicing Catholics who have prior teaching experience preferred.
