Position Summary:
The experienced Business Manager leads and oversees the financial management of parish operations along with our K-8 Catholic school. The Business Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations as well as setting strategic financial goals for the future. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all matters of business, including business software. They will be a competent leader able to provide guidance to the Pastor and, under his guidance the Principal and Finance Council as to the financial status in relation to budgets, capital projects, and fund raising. The goal will be to ensure the financial success of our Parish activities to drive sustainable development and long-term success.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform all accounting & HR functions, including payroll, insurance and budgeting.
- Proficient in accounting software and able to adapt to specific industry related programs.
- Allocate Revenue & Expenses between the Church & School
- Track Revenue & Expenses for all booster organizations within the Parish.
- Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
- Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers/banks
- Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data and write reports
- Assess overall company performance against objectives
- Represent the company in events, conferences, etc.
- Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines from the Diocese of Raleigh
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience.
- Proven experience as business manager or relevant role.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems.
- Good understanding of research methods and analysis techniques.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training within 30 days of hire.
